The Voyagers CLUB UPDATE
We’re back in the water! The R/V Robert Gray and the c-NAMMs Expedition have officially launched following retrofits and upgrades. Our team is southbound and preparing for its first microbe sampling collection.
Current Status & Next Steps
The ship is now equipped to support a wide array of scientific and exploratory missions, with new systems enabling work across oceanographic and terrestrial disciplines. Nearly 90 years after her original commission, Robert Gray is once again poised to serve as a vessel of discovery.
Our first planned stop will be Cabo San Lucas, Baja California. The crew has been working tirelessly to get all systems online, overcoming the unique challenges that come with operating a vessel of this age and heritage.
This marks the beginning of a planned circumnavigation of North America, and the opportunities for scientific impact are immense. With each leg, we’ll access new ecosystems and contribute to ongoing marine microbe research and conservation.
We are proud to carry expedition flags from The Explorers Club, The Adventurers Club of Los Angeles, the GAC, and the Voyagers Club.
Follow the journey @thevoyagersclubllc and @gentadv as we set sail on this extraordinary voyage.
Forward Together.
